Belkin Mini Surge Protector Dual USB Charger
It's kind of large and offers US style plugs only, but does give surge protection and two USB ports for charging. I wish the prongs would fold to reduce its size.

careful with that one - I believe it is for 110 volts only!
On the upside, my personal testing has shown that this works fine with the cheapest adapter that will fit into European outlets. No fires, explosions, unwanted electrical surges, etc.... yet. |
