Thumbs down Operations to avoid in ALASKA

If I pilot decided to do some work in Alaska, are there certain operators (passenger or freight) he/she should avoid? If so, who and why??:

I can think of a few. It really depends on what kind of work you want to do and where you're willing to go.

In general, the larger bush 135 operations (ERA, Grant, Bering, Ryan) are good places to spend some time and enjoy some time off if you like that kind of flying.

The major ANC 121 operations (not counting FedEx, UPS, or Alaska) are usually home every night (with the exception of Lyndon) with an OK amount of time off.

A lot of the smaller operations are very personality driven and you have to be careful about running afoul of the management. Ask me how I know. If you work for one where everyone gets along and has fun it's like a really good close family. Then there are others that only exist because the owners are pretty sure they're the only ones smart enough to run the operation. Guess which ones are more fun to work at.

All that said, if you have some significant DC-9 time and management experience Everts has been advertising for a CP lately.
