UPS Pay
Can someone tell me how UPS pays their pilots. I thought they did not differentiate between aircraft types. Thanks.

Apparently they pay them in Butthurt.

The butthurt is why we don't feel we are compensated nearly enough... ;-) |

You are correct - all acft pay the same dependent only on seat position and seniority. APC has the scales published along with all the other airlines.
At a stagnent company, or one with furloughed pilots and the most junior having years on property but no seniority, people sometimes think they are synonymous. |

Usually through payroll direct deposit, with checks that don't bounce.;) Now (you UPS guys) stop your complaining, although unlike some here, I actually do understand why you do it. It's why I left UPS back in 1990 for greener pastures. Who knew? Because as many have said, you really can't judge your decision until after you retire.

Longevity, not seniority, is it not?

1990 the UPS air side (if I remember) was still in its infancy or at least still expanding

Sure. I left UPS after the IPA was voted in and went to FedEx. I retired from there this past September. One of my fond memories from new hire class at UPS was the guy from Loss Prevention telling us how the company would prosecute us if we were caught stealing. This right after the VP of flight ops telling us that we'd never have to look for another job and that we'd all retire as millionaires. We took a break after the hour-long talk from the LP guy, and I remember going down to the cafeteria and calling my former employer to ask if I could come back to work there. Needless to say, UPS and I were not a good fit.
