Default FDX news per Airways Magazine

Picked up "US Airlines Magazine" which appears to be a special edition of Airways Magazine, on page 38, a blurb about FDX.

Highlights:

2014: begin deliveries of 767-300's to replace A310's and MD-10's

2015: Gradual retirement of 64 MD-11's, 727 retired by 2015

"Most" 777F's on order deferred until 2018

maybe old news....just putting it out there

Since all the 727s were retired at the end of June 2013.....old news would be a good guess.

When I left the Active Duty USN in 1987 there was an article in Aviation Week that said for every A300 FedEx took delivery, that they intended to retire 2 727's ...

That never happened either ... believe it when it actually happens

All MD11s will be retired by 2030. Guarantee it.

That's amazing!

We didn't order the A-300 until around 1991. In fact, Airbus hadn't even come up with a freighter design yet (1987). We were the launch customer. Took delivery of the first one in 1994.
