SkyBus Jet Cargo
Anyone know a thing about SkyBus Jet Cargo out of KLAS? Very rudimentary website and no significant info other than they own two DC-8s.

This is what I know.....
Founded: May 2013 Aircraft: DC-8-70 aircraft (2) - Former Astar Cargo N807DH / FlightAware The other aircraft is still in IGM Hoping for the best but I'm not holding my breath. |
Gots lots of sideways time in both of them. Glad someone still likes the -8's

I wonder if its another one of those BS start ups... I hate those places.!!

Well I did see one of their aircraft pass through HNL on its way to Indonesia (I think), so they are actually flying at this point, though not sure if it's 91 repo or what.

I wonder what they are trying to go after? If the DC8 ad-hoc business was still there, ATI would still have DC8s and so would National (NCR)..... just sayin' |
Skybus Jet Cargo wet-leasing a DC-8-73F to Australia's Heavylift Cargo
23AUG2013 Skybus Jet Cargo (Las Vegas McCarran) has deployed its first DC-8-73CF, N807DH (msn 45990), into revenue service. The freighter is being wet-leased to Heavylift Cargo Airlines (HN, Brisbane Int'l) who have based it out of Port Moresby. The DC-8 was recently ferried from Victorville to the Papua New Guinean capital via Honolulu. |

HeavyLift won't pay their bills anyway so good luck to them.

skybus
I have flown that AC. advertised on 350. Anything current?

If they're still flying it they're doing so under Peruvian registration and Peruvian AOC for heavy list out of Brisbane to Morseby... Pretty shady... Even by my standards.
|
Some additional info.
OB-2059-P was flown to Ostend, Belgium on October 16th using Peruvian Airlines call sign. It made one Ebola relief flight to West Africa on October 17th returning to Ostend the same day. It has not operated any flights since. |
Curious... any updates on this operator? I'm surprised to see them still having a presence.
