Default SkyBus Jet Cargo

Anyone know a thing about SkyBus Jet Cargo out of KLAS? Very rudimentary website and no significant info other than they own two DC-8s.

This is what I know.....

Founded: May 2013
Aircraft: DC-8-70 aircraft (2)

The other aircraft is still in IGM

Hoping for the best but I'm not holding my breath.

Well I did see one of their aircraft pass through HNL on its way to Indonesia (I think), so they are actually flying at this point, though not sure if it's 91 repo or what.

99.99999% it was a 91 flight. Their website shows they basically just started getting the ball rolling in May/13. They won't sniff revenue flying for at least another 6 months, probably more.

I wonder what they are trying to go after? If the DC8 ad-hoc business was still there, ATI would still have DC8s and so would National (NCR)..... just sayin'

Skybus Jet Cargo wet-leasing a DC-8-73F to Australia's Heavylift Cargo

23AUG2013

Skybus Jet Cargo (Las Vegas McCarran) has deployed its first DC-8-73CF, N807DH (msn 45990), into revenue service. The freighter is being wet-leased to Heavylift Cargo Airlines (HN, Brisbane Int'l) who have based it out of Port Moresby. The DC-8 was recently ferried from Victorville to the Papua New Guinean capital via Honolulu.

Hum. Well good for them. That is pretty quick air-carrier certification.
