FDX change for the sake of change
Let's see: QNH to QFE (2992) didn't work. Zero flap T/O on A300 scratched a tail didn't save $. New checklist call outs 500' VFR "landing" ... no S@%t. We had one page PFC now its 5?
Looking back LIDO/Jepp/EFB/ Ipad changes poorly implemented at best over how many years and dollars now? We had aircraft specific assistant chief pilots, then alphabetical now their "CALLED" fleet captains.
How about fixing some stuff that needs fixing: KCM, open time, accepted fairs, disputed pairings, catering.
We don't need hot dogs or another sleep study. Nor a aircraft cleanliness tab ( they're) all filthy.
But we got an org chart. lets go back to the previous parking lot/uniform police management. Except for the JL friends and family plan they were harmless.

QNH/QNE change: We end up with the 1% that can't freaking figure out that if you are level at a FL or have a FL crossing restriction, then you need to remain on QNE until you start down or are past that restriction.
15/0 in the Airbus may have caused the V1/VR split, but that sometimes happened with flap 20 takeoffs. So, routinely calling "V1Rotate" is another example of loss of situational awareness. Again, 1%. We've had tailstrikes in the Airbus (Flaps 20) because crews have rotated at the wrong speed. Nothing new here.
The old PFC sucked, not sure about the new.
Almost the entire time we had LIDO, guy *****ed about it and wondered why we left Jepp. They got their answer. The Jepp EFB product sucked. Unfortunately LIDO screwed up several changes last year and a few crews got violated. The best answer would probably be LIDO outside the US and Jepp within. Imagine the wailing that would cause.

Thanks for volunteering
Glad to hear it! I'll be looking for your name on the ballot for MEC Chairman next time around. Or, if you prefer we could recall the current MEC and I would vote for you immediately. Of course, I will be expecting big changes to occur very quickly or it's off with YOUR head.

I heard that the previous ALPA admin team hid the union "easy button" when they left town and that is why all the easy things have been so woefully ignored.
Nothing is easy or free in this business and I would like to hear what exactly could be easily done to fix this stuff? We have a process, whether you like it or not, and it moves at glacial pace most of the time but we have some pretty good protections that go along with this process.
