ATI
10 early warning signs:
1. Your performance is poor.
2. Last week, top officials announced the company lost $26 million during the past year.
3. At least three of “your” planes are being leased to another company and will be flown by pilots from your sister company.
4. Three more of your planes do not have any work and will continue to sit idle.
5. Your “union” forgot to put a scope clause in your last contract.
6. Your “sales person” hasn't been seen in months. Rumor has it he's been making cold calls to companies in Jakarta and trying to learn to speak Indonesian with Rosetta Stone.
7. 90% of your management is living in a motel in the middle of a corn field.
8. Your customers hate you.
9. Massive layoffs have been announced.
10. All internal and external job postings have been canceled.
Beeep. Beeeeep. Beeeep. Beeep....

What's going on over there? Didn't ATI just complete a merger with Capital and a fleet change to all 757s / 767s recently? The holding company is making money. To an outsider, these changes seem good for the future of the company.
Could someone shed some light on what is happening to ATI (aside from the top ten list) for those of us that are not on property.

Its a long story and I'll hold off on personal opinions. I'm just going to give the facts:
- Confirmed that at least 3 767-200s are being put into storage. I'm going to guess it will be 762CX, 763CX, and 791AX as they are the non-ETOPS planes. 763CX is in some stage of a C-check, so that is either money wasted or money saved; depends on how you look at it.
- DHL America is reevaluating one of the 757s in the system. I can only assume this is in response to the 737s coming on at Southern. Details I've been told are vague.
- Pilot furloughs have been announced but it should be lessoned now that 117 is in effect and the combi trips now have a few more layovers for crews.
Based on what I'm hearing and my observation, it might look like this:
316CM will probably be left open for one off charters and probably end up going back to Bahrain, to cover 319CM when it needs another check. 761CX and 312AA will be the two used 767-200s. One will probably cover all the flying over the next few months that ATI has and the other will sit spare for it.
This basically equates to 1 767-300 (319CM) and 1 767-200 (761CX or 312AA) as the only planes with constant work, in addition to the 3 757Fs (4 depending on what DHL does) and 3 757Cs flying work.
