You got overtime coin ... while I got a bag of coal and an ACP phone call last week

No wonder that yearly management recruitment letter never finds me ... [/QUOTE]

I currently fly for an ACMI outfit, and with them got the OT. But, hopefully this "logistics" fail will help bring the furloughees back on property.

Looks like DHL was just as timely
(....yeah, not surprising)

The wife wanted a particular cook book that was back ordered on Amazon

Another Amazon-related retailer in California had it in stock at a slightly higher price, but promised delivery by Dec 20

When it didn't arrive as promised, I double checked on-line and was dismayed to see they elected DHL as their express shipping company --- however, their on-line tracking showed a Dec 24 expected delivery

Last night, they slipped it to Dec 26

It amazes me any company in the US still ships with DHL domestically

That's because you sent express saver (3 day) you'll get it on the third day even if it got to your town the 1st. day. If you wanted it early pay out the bucks! sheesh

As usual, you're incorrect again. The local news (also the national news channels) reported that both UPS and FedEx had items that they couldn't get delivered by the end of business on the 24th. However, unlike UPS, FedEx delivered packages on Christmas morning. Hats off to Purple, and a big Thank You to the men and women who worked to fulfill the promises made by FedEx. Hopefully everyone involved made at least double-time and a half.

That is awesome that they delivered on Christmas. Unfortunately, I suspect they were only getting double half time and not a penny more.
