Default FedEx - south cone/ scope

I heard we are no longer flying the south cone and the freight is going as belly freight on the passenger airlines. Any truth to this and how does this happen with our scope
(or lack thereof )?

It's true. What scope? Our international scope is a joke. Up till now, it's was Fred's benevolence and ego that kept us flying everywhere with purple tails. Not so much anymore, it's strictly economics.

We only have CBA rights to the leg out of/into the U.S...after that it's fair game.

Our Intl scope is very weak

The only thing that'll bring the south cone back is reliability issues/economics
