Default Ground/Sim Instructor Openings

Is there anyone out there who has a good outlook on hiring new instructors at FedEx in the next year? I have heard from a few folks that they are not hiring until they open up to line and guys leave to fly, and others who have said there are openings coming up in the next 4-6 months. Thanks for any info...

Management is planning to replace a lot of our current "line pilot" instructors with "pros". The line pilots are naturally opposed.

Pretty soon for the little Boeing. Just choose your path carefully Grasshopper.

Not the same gig it was a few years ago ... ie NO guaranteed line-pilot interview (if that's what you want) after you do your 2 years of instructing line pilots how to do it. IF you get an interview then you will be the same as a guy off the street. NOT the "in" "foot in the door" thing it once was.

That being said, it's a VERY good non-flying, probably never will fly, job.
