Negotiations ; how about picketing ???

I think it is fair to say that this is not going well at all .............. Time to pick up the signs and get a full scale mass picket effort in support of the negotiations team ............. Stop being gentlemen about this and play some hard ball

I don't know why we don't just take out a full page add in the WSJ saying, "WARNING to all investors and future shippers, fedex and it's pilots are in a labor dispute, take this into concideration when investing or deciding on your future shipping needs." That would seem to raise more eyes than anything else.

PeterGriffin, just remember that those "customers" you'd like to scare away, are the ones who actually pay you twice a month, and think about that a little more.

Yep,
No better way to get new furniture than threaten to burn the house down

Now slipping our proposed WSJ ad out in the parking lot, whole different idea

Or maybe send it to our lil king and ask him to proof read it
;-)

Interesting nickname, wonder if it will catch on

There is only one thing that applies pressure - freight that doesn't move. As long as every DP and open time trip is scarfed up, especially during peak, management has no incentive to bargain towards a deal. It truly is that simple.

Fantmdave speaks the truth. It doesn't require a hundred thousand dollar ad in the WSJ to get our point across and potentially hurt ourselves. We have the collective control here. Peer pressure and some discipline are all that's required. That simple, agreed.

No one is talking about scaring customers here, however informational picketing is a legal and very clear way of letting folks "outside of the culture", know what is happening and how it is happening ..................... Getting this EXPOSURE in a "timely manner" is the only way to handle obstinate and laggard style negotiations
