FDX-planning

Oh, so YOU'RE one of THOSE Captains!!
. It's no wonder we have paranoid schizophrenic FOs these days. I tell ya, if I were an FO (or WHEN I'm an FO again after the next grand excess) I would staple all 4 corners and let the Captain remove the 3 he doesn't want.

In theory, it is possible.
What if a new fcif or flight plan is posted from when you look and show time?

THe guys (and gals) who donated or loaned those prints need to contact FDX Flight Management ASAP! There seems to be a huge screw up on the disposition of that artwork during the "remodel" of AOC. I had a jumpseater meet me at the crew bus carrying 2 of the prints; I asked him how he got them and he replied that somebody told his working group that there was a stack of prints about to be disposed off and they were for the taking.
I got back into MEM the next morning, and found them stacked in the TV room. "RA", who honchoed acquiring those prints by either donation or loan, was going through the pile, and he was mad as hell. Sounds like somebody with no knowledge of the history of those prints made a DUMBA%% decision to just dipose of them instead of trying to contact the donors or owners (some were on loan from personal collections!). "RA" told me he was chasing the vultures off from taking anymore, and I saw a lot of them already had smashed glass and frames.
If anybody here donated a print to the FDX AOC, I suggest you contact your Flight Management Team immediatly to try and save your print.

How many would donate something in 2014 if asked? I think that's an interesting insight into the change in culture here.

I hope this ends up to be that some low level designer made a stupid decision. I hope it's not more indicative of what our management feels about us.
As a pilot, I always glanced at those pictures thinking they were pretty cool. That they were a part of history, and that it's fascinating that our guys flew some of those planes. They were something that personalized an otherwise boring and nondescript area.
I wonder if management saw those pictures merely as old junk that didn't fit in with their new culture. Soon to be replaced by brightly colored pictures purchased at the Franklin Covey store, that proclaim, "Integrity", "Trust", and "Excellence."

But like Packagecheck says, judicious use of off duty time is warranted.

In addition to the motivational posters, maybe we'll have ones that remind of us of the actions we can take, so that managers can increase their bonuses.
