Yeah, because with him making over a million bucks a year, it would be rather inconvenient for him to have to come in to Louisberg, from his home on the French Riviera, just to oversee the firing or disciplinary procedure of some poor line slug. I mean come on!

Watch how you use the 'Scab' word. A scab is someone who crosses a struck line work area. Like the Eastern SCABS that will never, ever be forgotten. We all have the scab lists for jumpseat purposes.

Hmm.. Scab is someone who's crossed a picket line or has been hired to replace another person in a union shop. During the recent furlough our company was hiring replacement pilots who did the very same job except they were not members of our union. So our line pilots were turning in their IDs while the über-pilots were being trained on the very same fleets.. ..You say potatoes and I say taters?... :rolleyes:
The term certainly applies to those who accepted the replacement positions in the middle of our furlough. :(

There was a substantial one year bump in BT's salary which reflects the EB buying him out of a potentially much more expensive golden parachute which had been in place since the 1990's. This one time payment was well documented and presented to the membership at the time. The 2014 numbers are a more accurate reflection of what he earns. Note those forms reflect all employer costs for said employee. I'm sure we cost UPS substantially more than what our W-2's show.

We tried the independent route at FDX. And, it was a colossal failure. Obviously, not so at UPS. What is the IPA doing, or done, that makes it such a success, in your eyes.
It has nothing to do with the name on the union card. It has everything to do with the unity of those who carry the card. We can thank UPS for creating the most unified pilot group in the industry.
