Thanksgiving Dinner Expense FCIF
I guess as I sit here laying over, I don't get to expense Thanksgiving dinner this year like I have for as long as I can remember. I was waiting for the FCIF to come out from BM. Maybe on my Christmas layover...

Comes up every year. You get to expense X-mas, I have never seen Thanksgiving.

Been awhile since I did it, but when fleets (was) in in IND the company put on a meal at one of the hotels downtown. Is that no longer done?

I guess in the words of Roger Clemens, "I miss-remembered." It sure does seem like I had Thanksgiving dinner expensed last year but maybe it has been as long as O.
At least I could stir up the pot a bit.

It may be myth that the company provided/paid this, but unless I dreamt it (in a drunken stupor, possibly ) I have been with other Fedex pilots, eating (turkey) together at a fairly nice setup that turned into an interesting after meal party In INDy

We should be getting draft pay for any trip that touches a day, or the day prior, or the day after that the company requires you to submit a doctor's note if you are sick. I believe there is now a "72 hour" window for doctor's notes, so there should be a 72 hour window for draft pay as well.
I have repeatedly made this suggestion to my NC, I hope they listened.
I also hope I was not the only one.
I believe United has this.
The junior guys got screwed by age 65, those younger than age 53 did not get the $25,000 VEBA, so they got screwed twice, in some cases.
It is time for our union to throw a bone to the junior guys, and draft pay for working holidays would be a step in the right direction.
