Fedex hiring: question to new hires and poolies

So Dugan, who do you know, what connections do you have that got you an interview without a M&G? I didn't think anybody got an interview without first doing the M&G.
Good luck to you from a fellow FedEx hopeful.

Actuall in GDL there is an excellent reastraunt called Santo Coyote. Think whily coyote to remember the name. Just a little to far to walk but only a couple of bucks for a cab ride. Excellent food and great atmosphere.
Was a captain on the 727, then the bus and now the maddog. Can't seem to get away from TLC or GDL..........................

There have been cases when due to the reputation of either the sponsor or the candidate the M&G has been waived.
My impression is once go get the interview, however--its a level playing field. Connections get you in the door, but you still have to execute...

M&G in Feb 06 and still no call.
This morning at 0800 I was awoken by the phone. A female voice on the other end said "this is _______ from FedEx" My heart started pounding and I almost fell out of bed while reaching for my calender. I started sweating and felt a little nauseous, thinking that my day had finally come.
The voice then said "we tried to deliver a package (my new computer) yesterday, will you be home today."
I had to get on the tread-mill for an hour to run off all that adrenalin.
