Default FedEx - crew wakeup program

Just some info for those that might choose to participate tonight. One of the requirements to participate is that you have to be checked in for the trip. It is great if you get extra sleep, however, you are also available for substitution the instant you check in. IE, if your show was at 0230L but you checked in at 1130pm, from that point on, you can be assigned a trip any time from your check in, say 0200L show. But, if you haven't checked in until your show, you legally cannot be assigned a trip with a showtime prior to your check in. Not advocating either way, just wanted the options to be known. No trip mods and extra sleep, awesome.

Not to throw water on the intent of your post ....... but if you don't check in at least one hour before your scheduled departure than you would have to wake at the show time to avoid no showing the trip. So if the first flight of that trip was delayed so you could take advantage of a later show (and the increased rest which is the intent of the wake up program), you would have had to get up to check in when otherwise you could have been sleeping.
That said, I agree the process of being SUBed after check in suxes

Kinda my point.... normal checkin with protection of sub til checked in vs early check in and possible extra sleep or possible early substitution. No intent, just info for those to stay informed.

Oh, I thought from the title you were reminding everyone that we are in contract negotiations.

I have normal SUB protection, I can always say NO.

If it happens pre show time, I have until show to Say NO (if I know about it)

If I don't know they've cancelled my trip, I have until they notify me to make the OTP call.

But even after show, and after acknowledging the notification of, I can always say NO. Really don't want to do that Seattle AM out and back w/no ramifications other than the necessity to find another day of work.

Preferably on a much better weather day and a much easier trip
