Winter Storm Feedback
Mar 10, 2015 * From VP, Flight Operations
"I'm asking for your professional and constructive feedback. Tell us what we don't know so we can improve our performance in the future. Email your feedback to WinterEvent2015@[withheld to prevent spam]"
Really?
I can think of 2 words:
CONTRACT NOW!

I believe they're not looking for any real feedback, and if you provide them some, they'll probably disregard it anyway. What they want is for you to feel good about "helping them." Personally, I think the best feedback the crew force could give them is NO FEEDBACK at all. The silence would be deafening.

Gee, I'll give that some serious thought. Matter of fact I'll probably be thinking just that next time I forget to do 2-engine taxi, run the APU at all times, fly lower for 9 hours, or laugh at the scheduler when they ask for a waiver. Or bother to answer the phone when the draft calls come.
We have the ability to make this company a lot of extra money. Shame it's a toxic environment right now.

I have a better way for these mo*^@#^&#ers to get feedback on how MEM works. Come fly at night. That simple. Come see what frost does, let alone ice. Do the hub turn for the whole week when the weather pattern is frost conducive. You don't need an e-mail from me - you need to come do the most basic part of your job. Remember, the part of it that is a minimum qualification for that other thing you "do"?

In years past after major ice event cluster-F's I have given very specific suggestions to management to improve the de-ice flow, save gas burned and increase safety in Memphis. Two pages worth. The response to those recommendations?
Crickets, crickets....Not a single reply. Not so much as a "thanks for your input, go about your business."
