UPS: All hiring's stopped
 

Well that sure didn't take long. :D:D

Who else is still defiant that this is the place to be??????

6 days form starting a new job they have already quit or given notice. No one should ever go fly for UPS.

Reminds me of those people sitting in class at majors or about to start and got the rug pulled under them due to 9/11. That was once in a lifetime event...this is just UPS spite.

This company should be on some list of worst places to work.

The IPA should fly all those guys down, and in front of any media outlet that will listen, tell how they have literally destroyed more families with their cavalier approach to "management"

I'd buy the first ticket.

Well, I have been neutral on those looking to get hired here, seeing both sides of why you want to be here and those who can't believe you want to be here. I am now firmly on the side of why the hell do you want to work these people and as a UPS employee, I am truly embarrassed for the actions of my employer. If I were looking for a job, I would run as far away from this place as I can. The Mickey Mouse games these people play with their employees is just sad. Again, find a job somewhere else if you possibly can.

Despicable behavior. Pure and simple. This has nothing to do with economics but rather with trying to show us who's in charge here.

To those affected - apologies from all IPA brothers and sisters.
This makes no sense as we get ja calls all the time and hopefully this is a very short term delay BUT the management hiring is spiking so maybe that's the true reason.

From our union's news blast:


"The Association disagrees with any delay in training for these pilots, no matter how short or long. Having been given specific UPS training class dates in March and April, these 24 pilots have made career decisions based on UPS’s commitment to them. To do anything other than to honor that commitment is, in the IPA’s opinion, wrong and unconscionable. We have communicated those sentiments and our objections directly to upper UPS management."

So these poor guys have actually been furloughed before they ever started.

I hate to say I told you so, but I made my feeling know to apply elsewhere. Only pain and agony here.
