You and JP have something in common. A mindset that let JP feel free to espouse such total crap in his departure message after spending 2 yrs stalling and holding the CBA process back. JP thinks WE (you) are the Marxists. It's o.k. for labor to be treated poorly unless it affects your paycheck. Good job. BTW, management has no money and still needs concessions. so they can leverage the (all cash) TNT deal.... See who is being divisive. You guys are free to support whomever you like. Others are not. Dear Gunter, What the hell has SEIU ever done to get us a contract. One of the big holdups with our current contract is management playing games. Another holdup is the excise tax on Cadillac Healthcare plans that SEIU and ALPA PAC helped shove down our throats. You can support who you want and believe there is some big labor vs capital struggle going on in the world and I can support who I want and believe there is some big freedom vs crony socialist struggle going on in the world. And we can both work on getting a contract or not, your choice. And no I do not believe teachers unions and every other public sector union including SEIU has absolutely anything to do with the struggle between labor and Capital. If anything they are on the other side. Me and FDR are crazy that way. |

As you've noticed, corporate democrats are total scumbags. They claim they are for the people but are paid by big business to hold back on changes they want for their loyal voters. Noticing politician misdeeds doesn't lend any support to treating labor poorly. |

Now most (especially lower income and working) democratic voters are unhappy with it. Politicians are trying desperately to distance themselves from Obamacare because they know they're screwed if they get called out on it in their next election. But Republicans are doing some dastardly things. Like Corker telling workers at the passat plant that VW would cut some jobs if they voted in a union. This was patently false but Corker has not been held accountable for his union busting efforts. |

Knowing that I would still be angry if someone blacked out ALPA symbols everywhere. That's offensive.

Hell who is being political? And yes if SEIU wants me to wear their lanyard they better be doing something for me. An example of Capitalism otherwise know as freedom. |
In the end this is all about nothing.
SEIU on the lanyard means it was made in the U.S. in a union shop. Period. As in not made in China. You guys get wrapped about some serious minutia as the company tramples all over us. |
Not sure why I have to spell it out but here you go.
Support from other unions is helpful. ****ing them off not so much. |

LAG - I bet you're wondering why Republicans keep losing to Dems in the Presidential election.
