FedEx-Training letter

Just curious about how long it will take the training letter to come out once the big bid closes?

2. Within 10 days following the closing of a posting, the Company shall communicate the following to pilots through an FCIF:
a. Names, employee numbers and seniority numbers of pilots receiving an award or assignment and the crew position awarded or assigned;
b. Type(s) of crew position award(s)/assignment(s):
i. Primary permanent vacancy;
ii. Secondary permanent vacancy;
iii. Temporary vacancy;
iv. FDA vacancy;
v. Excess;
c. Projected training dates;
d. Projected activation dates;
e. Miscellaneous additional information.

So 10 days is your answer. On day 11 the letter will be pulled, revised, and released at the company's leisure.

Maybe we can get that section of the contract edited to include your changes? Negotiating Committee?

:confused:

I wonder if the answer has ever changed ...

Shouldn't the training letter for Posting 14-05 be coming out soon?

The company has 10 days to post it after the bid award closes so do they always wait until the very last day to do so?

Nothing in the contract requires the information to be correct or binding.

It's all smoke and mirrors.

In regards to the Training Letter: can anyone take a stab at when someone bidding into the 75CM seat at 100% on Practice #3 might go to training versus someone going to the 76FM at 30%?
I realize there are many, many variables but there are some very knowledgeable folks here on this forum and I'm hoping that someone might have a gut feel/experience for this that I simply don't have.

Probably depends on the seat you are leaving, but I would imagine the captain upgrade would be quicker. Assuming we are Hiring a lot of FOs, they will have to paired with someone.

LAG, thanks for the quick response. I'd be leaving the 777. Your answer surprises me. My gut said the exact opposite. Thanks again.

They are routinely pairing Captains with Captains and FO's with FO's.
