Default Recurrent Training Question

I flunked recurrent training bidding for July. Is it possible/permissible to trade sim periods (e.g, from a later period to an earlier period on the same day) by mutual agreement with someone having the same training footprint? If it's allowed and someone was willing to trade their 0630 sim for my 1030 sim on the CLOE day, it would minimize the extent of my screwup.

I realize I might not find anyone willing to trade (after all, they didn't screw up). In that case, I'll have to take the lick. I'd just like to know if asking someone to trade is ok.

Thanks for any info on this.

Try the easy way first. Just call the training scheduler and see if there are any open times that work for you.

I think that the desire is to do the CMV2 and CLOE as a crew. So, you may need to trade both days as a crew.

Right. Think I will take Doorknob's suggestion and see if I can move to a slot that maybe went unfilled. Thanks.

I've had some luck over the years calling the training scheduler, explaining that my dog ate my homework ... and could she please reschedule me for a different day? Please?

Good luck ...

The sooner, the better, too. Do it ASAP while they can still change things around. There are so many times when I am scheduled with support, and FO's are scheduled with support, I have to roll my eyes and wish that they just put us together. In fact, the next time they do that, I might just call and plead for any sim, any other day, with an FO. Seems like a win/win.

I did exactly that a couple of months ago. I had the 0630 and the guy with the 1030 wanted to trade in order to make a jumpseat. We had to swap both days to keep crew integrity for the CMV and CLOE, but it was a real easy switch.

The best chance for success is to have support on your recurrent training.

This, although I guess it could depend on which aircraft you are in. I do remember support in the 72 could be worse than having an empty seat.
