Workmate lives in Rogers. Not based on a direct leg. Says the commute is a miserable 2 leg minimum commute with many cancellations in XNA. If get based in DFW, ATL, ORD, etc probably much better with single leg options. If a cargo dog, a 2 leg commute for FedEx or UPS or many of its partner flyers.
Other options though if willing to drive to SGF or TUL.

I live in Fayetteville. Love the town, but I have to second Salty Dog. I'm working on making the leap to Part 121 from a non-flying job. Every one of my Part 121 friends is telling me about how good a commuting location XNA is NOT. Commuting is unavoidable for me due to family considerations; I fully expect to go through TUL a lot. I'm concentrating on companies where DFW, ORD, ATL or IAH basing are possibilities.

I commuted from XNA for two years. It was challenging. Walmart business traffic keeps most flights full and there are a LOT of commuters there. Bunches of AA and Envoy pilots, three Southwest, one Virgin, one jetBlue, one Frontier, several United. I never seemed to have a problem getting out of XNA, but for whatever reason getting back was always tough, especially from DFW.
AA can never seem to decide what size airplane to use, but it really doesn't matter. They've tried Airbus, MD80, and lots of RJs. They're always full. I was in the jumpseat easily 90% of the time. Finally gave up and just moved into base.

Don't forget UPS/FDX as options. Flights leaving are in the evenings around 9-10 pm and you'd get to your destination around 4-6 am. Getting back home would have you there at 4-6 am (haven't looked it up exactly but that's a ballpark).

Hey ...... I'm considering moving to that part of Arkansas also ! Go Hogs !!!
That area has a super economy compared to Memphis and the people are so much nicer there ........ However , that region has its share of weather issues for sure ......... Not uncommon to know of folks that have safe shelters built in their homes or property for threat of tornadoes ........... Rick's Bakery on College street is a must !!!

Ricks is pretty pedestrian compared with some of the upscale options that have moved into downtown Bentonville near Crystal Bridges. Meridienne, a French patisserie was amazing but went out of business about a year ago. Ricks is "redneck fancy".

Commuting from XNA to MEM is a pain. Even if you have to drive it its a long drive and has bad winter wx a surprising amount of weather.
I picked somewhere nice in AR that allows me to commute by car. Commuting suxs but so does living in mem.
