I can tell you I have done cvg-hrl-mmmy and laid over in MMMY well over a dozen times and cvg-iah-hrl is a brand new flight that no one has seen until this bid period. (It may have happened a few times in April, I dunno). There hasn't been any ABX layover in HRL in years, except a few peak season oddities as add ons.

You nailed it...you dunno! The letter says...In addition, aircraft 787AX will be redeployed to DHL Middle East service after its upcoming C-check starting on June 4. As a result, ABX will discontinue operating the 518/118 IAH-MSY route. The last operation is currently planned to be Friday, June 1, after which another carrier will operate the route. The day 6 CVG-IAH-HRL & day 7 HRL-CVG routes 315/316 will continue to operate as normal.....key words...operate as normal. I personally have flown this trip 4 times over a 6 month period.

Ok... Cool? What is your point? We are losing planes and losing flights. I really don't care about the specifics of the routes. I've never come across iah-hrl.. is it a 1 day a week thing or something?

Edit: ok I went and looked, its a weekend run. I've never done it or noticed it. I apologize, it doesn't affect the MMMY run for now. I was mistaken. Still losing planes and routes...

My point? I thought maybe you wanted to know what actually is going on instead of made up incorrect s#!t . You know for planning purposes...

Agreed...that will not end. Why would it.

Woog, I understand you on this. I only counted the HRL layover twice in April and next month I think its 3 or 4 weekends it will operate. I noticed a couple things about this trip. On the flight schedule, it doesn't give the frequency over a month. Perhaps it just varies month to month? But this trip doesn't pop up in open time very often. So my exposure to this trip is relatively new. It hides very well on the bid too.

I heard someone on reserve get this trip, but it was probably 6 months ago. Even if this has been on the flight dept site for 2 years, no one talks about overnighting in HRL...hardly ever.

But I think we should all just drop this. Cool, HRL is a layover. We'll get the word out. LOL! MMMY...anything could be possible at this point. $&%# we lost EWR!!! Come on, right!

The real point is that in 2014 ABX had 36-767's. After losing 2 more the final count will be 24. Ops specs D085. Then what happens when NAC gets up and going in MIA and LAX?

GeelErmo 04-16-2018 03:42 PM

We all get furlough notes and karramba!!!!:-))

Well....we should not see much change in LAX as AeroMex flying is not involved with Aloha or NAC and we already lost HNL. In MIA it should free up a 300 and a 200 as NAC gets new aircraft from CAM. It's possible both would be used for Amazon. Most likely the a 200 will be parked. Since 752 is supposedly coming back from Bahrain that makes 25. At the least ATI will not get them... yippee

Everyone that’s on property needs to keep the faith and hold the line. Certainly keep your options open. If you’re off property thank you for not coming here. My understanding is they tried to have a class at the beginning of the month and couldn’t get enough people to show up.

We may get a good contract someday until then I wouldn’t come here.

Jurassic Jet 04-19-2018 02:30 AM

There was supposed to be a class of 6 starting on the 27th. Looks like they found 2. Guess we’ll see in a week if they show up.

752 is already counted as one of the 24. Also, the owner of NAC, Aloha and Strat Air owns 30+ % of AeroMex and it’s already slatted to go away in 2019.

You guys need to be emailing your union leaders and asking them what they are doing about section 744 of this bill.

I’m emailing my union rep and I don’t even fly cargo. We are all in this industry together!

Dude.

Other forums can ban a member for SPAMMING multiple threads.

More to the point, did you read the last paragraph in the article YOU posted? ALPA, IBT and IPA are on it already.

Give it a break.

How about on the pax side at K4, ATI, Atlas? All ACMI.....are they not required to operate part 117?

For what it's worth (at least up until about a year ago), Atlas and ATI were the only airlines that operated under both part 121 and part 117. If K4 has added passenger service, I haven't heard anything about it.

I can't speak for ATI, but as for Atlas: even if you are supposed to be operating under Part 117, you have to be on the lookout for schedulers who have been caught falsifying records in our scheduling software in order to make crews "legal" for Part 117 legs.
