I do believe I did not give my consent to be recorded when I called into Benefits two weeks ago to confirm my Short Term Disability paperwork. HIPPA is being violated in all these cases. He has been known to activate both the camera on the laptop and speaks so he can hear what is taking place in the privacy of your home. Payroll is a mess and Brandon refuses along with Boris to address the various coding issues in Blue 1. Tina has been asked on numerous occasions to falsify payroll records. She also has evidence to support Swift knowingly violated the CARES ACT funding by laying off several employees after receipt of the funds. There is currently no one in HR and no one heading up the Payroll Dept. Spoke with Teresa, and she stated they asked her to stay on after paying her additional severance to stay on. Makes you wonder why an entire HR dept walked out? Is it due to finding violations of way too many laws? If you are a pilot or any employee who has been provided with a company laptop from Swift Air, ensure you completely shut it down and close it. This is an invasion of privacy into my home. Federal wire tapping and taping phone calls coming into two critical department such as payroll and HR violates the employee's right to privacy and confidentiality. Be very aware with your company assets.

You’re worried about HIPPA, but you’re putting their names out on the web. Those ladies are just working with the resources given to them.

When you call the insurance company they record calls too, so that’s not uncommon. I’ve disputed medical claims and they always tell you you’re on a recorded line. I know
My kids doctors office has recorded calls.

Any company device that’s connected to their network they can tap into. In another life at a major all our electronic devices were monitored too. That’s why you put electrical tape on your cameras. Most pilots have their cameras covered. I remember revenue management could track every key stroke you made and if you were doing things wrong they’d call you out and get you in trouble with the station manager, even if it was for customer benefit.

That’s a lot of work for one person to monitor everything. If it’s true then Damn he’s got the computer system of the matrix. Maybe he’s plugged into the servers. You’d have to be up 24/7 to monitor over 500 employees.

I'm more concerned about the accusation of monies being stolen from the company and all of HR quitting

Is anyone really surprised about any of this. REALLY.... Go back and read thread 1505. Doesn't this fit a familiar pattern. I for one will be following up on the Federal complaint. Again, CARES money was supposed to avoid lost of income to the employees of the company, help them pay the rent, put food on the table for the family. But then we hear about the multi million dollar house in Miami recently purched by one of our executives. They moved bases, making impossible for us to get to work, or quit.
Yet, we still get people on here doing PR, and being apologist for them. They need to be investigated, and those lower level management personnel need to speak up.

Violations

It doesn't surprise me to hear folks are leaving in droves from Swift Air. The lack of integrity from the leadership team is evident. How many employees did you layoff and/or furlough Jeff after you took in the Cares Act funds? How much money did you take out of 401K funds that rightfully belongs to the employees? My check continues to be a disaster and still no one in Payroll or HR can address these issues. I have spoken directly to the Payroll Coordinator on multiple occasions, and was advised she is leaving today, but will remain on as a consultant. There is no permanent one individual in Payroll or HR. It speaks volumes of any company's leadership when 3 dept. heads abruptly leave. HR, Payroll and Benefits are no longer there, and evidently none made it to 90 days. Corruption and illegal activities will compel those with morals, and ethics to take steps to preserve their core values, all of which Jeff, Boris, and Brandon have none of. By the way Jeff, when you layoff employees, typically the WARN Act is required to be invoked. Did you notify the State back in March or did you choose to engage in yet another violation? I want to address another comment I read on this post. HIPPA is a serious offense. If Brandon is recording calls, he better understand Federal Wire Tapping Laws. Neither the employee or HR, Payroll or Benefits on the other end of the call gave their permission to be recorded. Yeah, I have called into my doctor's office for physical and medical renewals, they will advise you the call is being recorded. Don't ever recall hearing that when I constantly called into Payroll or Benefits to get my medical straightened out and the ongoing issues with my check. In my possession, I do have a company laptop, which I have placed a tape over the camera and muted the microphone as I do have video of IT remoting into the company laptop at 11pm at night. Additionally, have video of a work related document being locked as it's being used by another user. That's somewhat interesting when I am the only user and creator of the document. Brandon should be careful when and where you are remoting into company laptops. The latest and greatest is the new HR and Payroll Manager starts in another two weeks according to VP of Ops. Sounds like another cozy relationship. Not sure how long they will last either until they discover the unethical practices Swift engages in. Spoke to Chief Pilot and VP of Operations, both who have no answer to any final resolution on my check discrepancies. The Crew Resources Manager quit after working only 5 days, spoke with him 1 day and the next he was gone. David Speaks, another cog in the wheel of corruption running the show. How much bonus does one person have at their disposal to knowingly engage flight crew to break FAA regs? Heard enough from the current Payroll folks on the weekly issues not being addressed to fix my check. Yeah they have to work with the resources they are given, but what does it say about the employer (Brandon) who controls those resources and refuses to fix them? Overall operations of this company is based on zero ethical practices. Chapter 11 should clean out the entire leadership, but not before the 3 amigos steal everything they can from the company. How does 3 people who have engaged in illegal practices within the airline industry still remain in the game? Jeff, Boris and that idiot Guy. According to payroll he's running the 3 departments and has no clue how to manage Payroll, HR, or Benefits. How does someone who was charged with 3 felonies get back in the game in the airline industry? Next fall Guy for Jeff and Boris. Boris should take heed, Trump deports immigrants. The hypocrisy of it all, Swift running ICE flights and Boris, the immigrant engaging in more illegal activity without deportation. Now that's one person who should be locked up and deported in chains on next ICE flight. Can't wait for my next screwed up check next week.

401k funds? What’s funds... they’re not matching anything and my self-paid 401k has not had any issues. It’s not like a police pension fund managed by a company or agency. Fidelity manages the 401k, I’m
Just putting the minimum amount till they finally match, but it hasn’t missed a beat.

Hopefully these temp workers won’t have issues paying this month on this check next week as that’s when OT and per diem come out. It’s hard when you can’t see your earnings summary for the month.

Also no one has been furloughed. Now that the cares is expired it’s all game now. People have been given leaves via VRG, unpaid etc. during the summer. Now we have a new round of available leave, but it unpaid this time. Sounds like some pilots in the ICE bases will take it. But somehow we will end up short handed anyway which is the irony.

I am totally confounded.
WHY HAS IAero NOT taken control of this situation. Oh, oh, I know...
Big tax write off on business losses. And BVL will drive it into the ground, then buy it back for pennies on the dollar.
If you don’t get all your money next payday, DO NOT GO BACK TO MAKE THEM RICHER, AND YOU POORER.

The FAA’s Phoenix Certificate Management Office completed their investigation of safety allegations in case S20200228016. The investigation substantiated a violation of an order, regulation or standard of the FAA related to multiple unrepaired repeat discrepancies at Swift Air LLC. Accordingly, the FAA is taking appropriate action to address the matter. To obtain copy of the Investigative Results Report, file a request under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by submitting a request at the following web-site: https://www.faa.gov/foia/email_foia/.

One only wonders who will take the fall for this. The Captains who flew the airplanes, or the Mechanics that signed the logbook, or both. One thing is for sure, BVL and his enablers will throw you under the bus. They Iwill NOT back you. First words out of their mouths will be " We didn't tell you to do that, you know that it was wrong..."

Can’t find that docket in their reports.

You realize swift is not the only one that gets hit with this stuff annually. If you look at the FAA fines and penalties every quarter so many carriers fall into it including the majors, regionals and 135 entities. For maintenance, record keeping, D&A, you name it. This isn’t something unique to swift as you imply.

Hell southwest was hit from lack of inspections on their fleet and have had to ground multiple aircraft more than once for inspections never completed. Then the whole debacle with their mechanics during contract negotiations.

They were hit years ago for issues with their D&A when we started growing rapidly.

If the feds fine them, then it is what it is. They need to repair or fix whatever program or discrepancy has come down the pipe. How much of that is owned by miami tech would be the other question.

PICs job is to write up the discrepancy, after that it’s maintenance job to figure it out. You can only do due diligence. That’s why if it’s broke write it up. If it’s signed off as ops check ok and it happens again then you write it up again. The beautiful thing about the legal world is record keeping, if it’s documented now it’s a recorded event.

When appropriate, note the item as a repeat item.

I take a picture of the write up for future use, if required.

Personally, I take a picture of all Tech Log entries, even if no discrepancies exist.

Go back and read posts #'s 1485 to 1493. Then 1501 to 1503. This is not a new phenomenon, a once in a while, as you mentioned SWA. This is a chronic problem. In one of your posts, you mentioned that we didn't have good, experienced mechanics, not enough time, no parts, etc:...All the excuses under the sun. But No.... you still don't see a problem here. Hence so many people, Captains in particular, are leaving, or being pushed out. But as the old Cliche has it...
the last people to leave a sinking ship are the
( rats ) the enablers that supported and allowed these illegal activities to take hold, and grow. So, so sad.
