Non rev on OAI

Does anyone have any information on how to non-rev on a charter flight operated by Omni? I’ve heard that they have reciprocal agreements with other carriers but haven’t heard exactly how to list. Any information is appreciated.

You can’t really on a lot of ACMI’s if the charter is for the military.

There is VH for starters (LAS-HNL). We'd let you on "normal" charters, etc. but those are few and far between. I suspect with potential upcoming freighter flying there will be more options.

This is actually exactly the flight I had in mind when I asked.

Jump seat and non rev travel are completely different. On a charter flight Omni sells the airplane to a customer and has no authority to issue a seat for non rev travelers. Unless an agreement was made in the contract. A jumpseat you need to go through the CASS process.

Now with that screen name, your not getting either. lol

Ok, so 1 of omni’s 13 aircraft is available to JS. And possibly the other aircraft if they aren’t on a DOD flight, which they normally are...

I'm not sure what the point is here... are you saying we shouldn't reciprocate when we can and just demand free rides from everyone else?

Jumpseat is available on DOD flights if that pilots airline is a DOD carrier and part of CASS. Planning and coordination is essential with Omni dispatch and operations for non employee base access on the DOD trips. Not something that can be done at last minute. In 20 plus years at Omni I’ve only seen it once with a World Airways Pilot.

He’s not asking about jumpseat, he’s asking about ZEDs

other flights are available, as explained on the ALPA jumpseat Guide. The LAS-HNL-LAS is the only scheduled flying though, call dispatch for everything else.
