I am not following your company that well, so I am not familiar with your scope clause but looks like iAero made a deal with SunExpress of Turkey to hire four 738s with crews for the winter season.

We don't have any scope clause yet. Historically, it has been Smartwings that comes over and flies winter travel for us as we go over there in the summer. Mind sharing where you found the info about SunExpress?

Just a thought, did the articles mention ‘Swift’ as in the Spanish airline or IAero?

There is also a European Airline called Swift Air

seattlepilot 12-03-2022 04:47 AM

Nope. It WAS going to be the US operation. Miami based four airplanes with crews. Last week it was announced that the deal was off.

TiredSoul 12-03-2022 07:44 AM

So what canned it?

So this was supposed to be 4 extra aircraft for IAero to operate out of Miami to do the all-you-can-drink Punta Cana runs.
Not 4 MIA based IAero aircraft and crews leaving for Europe to fly ultra low cost vacation charters like their short lived Budapest (?) ops.
