Pilot bases: MIA PHX CVG SAT HRL AEX & HOME BASE
So if you are NOT home based....and I think only CA are...what are the schedules like for an FO? Are they commutable? theres CAs in the hard bases, not just home base. Typically most trips in those bases start in the morning forcing you to come in the night before. For a while they were doing 18on 12 off lines, not sure if they’re still doing it. |
There are FOs and captains both at bases and home based. The lines are a mix of 18/12 and broken up 9/6/9/6 (or something close to that) to appeal to commuters and the folks who live in base.

so depending upon seniority you could be home based one month and commuting the next month based upon what line you can hold?

Not really catching how that works? Is it an easy explanation, I'm sure others have a similar question. I know from being home based with my airline that I'll never commute again. So, if not being able to get home based isn't right out of the gate, that takes iAero off many people's list. |

How long does being able to bid HOM take? are there different lines/schedules for Domicile based vs HOM based?

I wonder how badly the pilot group will get shafted, will it arise from the ashes with all the senior more expensive pilots purged?

Wait what’s going on at Swift?

From: Date: Re: All iAero Airways Employees Tim Rainey, President December 8, 2023 Organization Update We have had an unfortunate set of circumstances the past two months that has resulted in the significant loss of reven iAero Airways. First, our customer CSI reduced our flying in IWA in October and have advised us they will not be iAero Airways to serve Harlingen, TX effective Jan 1st. Secondly, we have taken two aircraft out of service due to on negotiations with a heavy maintenance provider. As we reported last month, we also did not renew the contract wit Cuba Service Providers (CSP) due to unprofitable flying. We have been able to replace some of the CSP and CSI flying with CBP and DOD flying, but our current revenues ar meeting our ongoing expense levels at this time. Thus, we have been forced to make the difficult decision to eliminate at iAero Airways in order to better balance our expenses with current flying levels. Our remaining businesses NHL and ad hoc sports business are performing well. We anticipate a strong winter season. We began issuing reduction in force notices to affected employees today and will continue additional communicatio Monday, December 11th. ". Managers of these employees and our Human Resources team will be providing employees separation details and resources to assist them during this transition. This is a difficult decision we have been forced to make at iAero Airways. However, it is necessary to protect the term survival of the company. We thank those that are being affected by the reduction in force for their service to i Airways. We need everyone to stay focused on delivering Safe, Reliable and Great Customer Service. I appreciate everything you do to make iAero a success. |

You’re right, there isn’t space, but I can’t imagine SY purchasing iAero in the hopes that they are going to be expanding in MSP. I think the more likely scenario is expanding the charter business, keeping their bases, and getting an extra couple hundred pilots out of the deal.

F138- Sunny pilot here, I know we’re hurting for captains. As much as I don’t want it to be true, I could see us buying you guys. Because of how cheap we could get your 800’s. Also do you guys still have that 767? I know our CEO wants a wide body in the future… |
Ah that abomination in ice cream colors that sat on the south cargo ramp for the longest time?
