they are shutting down the MIA base. they owed MIA airport $440,000 in fees and one of their airplanes (593AN) was flown in to transfer to another airline and a C check.....MIA DCAD slapped the lien on the plane, leaving the owner (CSI) stuck paying the bill in order to transfer the airplane and to start the mx work. CSI deducted the money from falcon's bill for the IWA deportation flying contract they do for CSI. the staff missed ANOTHER paycheck because of the owner's greed. they are about to lose the IWA contract to swift air. that will most likely happen in may. paychecks were late in mid february, then the end of month per diem was late, then the end of month february paycheck was 10 days late. even then, when finally paid on 10 march, it took up to 9 days for the check to clear many of the staff's own banks. FA perdiem checks for jan-march won't be paid until the end of april. the mid april paycheck for all is late again. they are down to 9 captains and 11 fo's....almost half the pilots have quit and gone to other airlines......they are tired of the BS....but more so the late pay AND BS made the vote of confidence in DO bill cline, CP Tony Taype, junior ramiez and senior ramiez (owners turned pirate crooks) into a large sucking sound of asses and elbows to other jobs. even when pilots gave the proper 2 weeks notice cline and taype changed it it immediate resignation and took them off payroll right on the spot. taype has given several "retention" speeches of the remaining pilots to not follow the "losers that left". it is hard for the pot to call the kettle black as CP taype does. he has been fired from avianca, LAN and world atlantic and is a known charged and convicted wife beater on two different women. DO cline got canned from amerijet, southern and balitta but somehow manages to bedazzle and then baffle people before the shoe drops: look up untrustable in the dictionary and you will see his picture. this is the kind of toxic leadership the ramiz owners purposely pick as they too are the dribble down the crack of the devil's buttocks. ever work at a company where you need to go to the social security office with your W2 to correct the pay? every year i was there, i had to do this. SS office showed me each year where i was THOUSANDS of dollars lower than the W2 falcon provided me. with enough people passing the word and getting their SS accounts corrected, the IRS got involved and falcons ramiz cartel were IRS liened $12 million dollars. ARE YOU REALLY SURE YOU WANT TO WORK HERE? THEY ARE ADVERTISING ON 350 SITE FOR LAKELAND BASED PILOTS. there will be a name change to VOLO. be it falcon or volo, you are walking into clearly something you will regret. it is just not worth it. working there is like pushing a wheel barrel full of cow turds uphill on a wet clay trail.
Run, Run in the opposite direction every time you see the name Falcon or Volo.
We try to give them numerous chances to realized of their bad business ethics, I personally saw 3 D.Os and 4 Chief Pilots and still the Ramiz did not want to hear, even when CSI told them last year that they got the contract renew because of the employees, giving them and hint that they were getting tired of their practices...
So now, Falcon no more....what a blessing!

I'm not sure about all those "personals" details about the chief pilot or D.O. but what you are saying it's true ....and now it's official we (Jr. and Sr.) lost our contract in IWA, leaving only Lakeland has a base...Am I surprise? NO! They last this long only because the dedicated and hard working employees made up for all the screws ups of the Ramiz's.

I wonder if the city of Lakeland is aware of all of this. Sounds like they're close to doing a deal.

Ok I've read the horror stories I want to get back to flying 121 but I've been flying a friends single engine for the past 1 1/2 years and ride a redbird sim every 3 months just to get current on multi instrument. I have over 7000 hrs 90% of this is Multi Jet/Turboprop, Falcons base is 50 miles from my house from Lakeland. My wife makes ok money for us to pay the bills should I just bite the bullet and get the currency and move on after 2 years? The worst part is no income during training. Thanks guy's!

dj45, if you read all the posts about this company and still want to work their, risk getting fired or better, violated then possibly fly flights for striking workers like they did for Spirit and would for Allegiant, then you belong there!
Rich spoiled kids or guys/gals "my spouse/parents have tons of money" is absolute rubbish. You sell yourself and the rest of us out. Why not do it the respectable way and go to a regional or a cargo carrier.
Falcon would love a guy like you! Don't do it! If you do then please write somewhere else as I do not want to hear it.
Yes its a bollocking for your own good!

I am not a scab and will never cross the line, I'd rather drive a taxi and keep my head up high. I understand why many of us do the things we do, I love to fly and I am not going to pursue Falcon. But I would like to get flying again, I left my 121 gig in Asia because my kids were born here and they did not like the lifestyle in Asia. Now my 20 yr old wants to learn to fly and getting back in the industry will help me out financially with his training costs. I am not looking to go to the big 3, I just want to fly for a company that takes care of their employees and aircraft. You guy's are right Falcon is a bottom feeder and I'd rather fly for Silver if need be. If anybody has any job leads please pm me thanks everyone!

You live in Florida, and want to be close to home... a pilot's dream. That said, you can choose Silver Air as an alternative to become recurrent 121. Or go to a Regional one of the many commuting gnomes.

Yeah, no sheet, some airlines are better than others. Who are you to condemn someone for wanting to work for them? 50 miles from base, not 121 current, spouse can afford the expenses while he gets the experience to be more employable at a better gig, etc., everyone's situation is different. Unless you fly for Delta or FedEx, I am sure someone could say that you're selling yourself and the rest of us out and not working for a respectable carrier.
