But I would like to get flying again, I left my 121 gig in Asia because my kids were born here and they did not like the lifestyle in Asia. Now my 20 yr old wants to learn to fly and getting back in the industry will help me out financially with his training costs. I am not looking to go to the big 3, I just want to fly for a company that takes care of their employees and aircraft. You guy's are right Falcon is a bottom feeder and I'd rather fly for Silver if need be. If anybody has any job leads please pm me thanks everyone!

Don't get discouraged by some of these message board warriors. Everyone gets that Falcon doesn't have a great reputation. However, if it works for you as a stepping stone, give it a shot. Keep in mind that if you get on there, there will be gripes about the operation like any other airline, just more.;)

As for worse case scenarios regarding violations or struck work, you can control that. It is just that it may take a resignation to do it. However, that doesn't seem to be the norm to have to resort such measures..

I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for that Ludicrous Speed, I know what's it like we have gripes in some ways or the other. I've been in and out for the last 28 years of aviation, there's no perfect job unless you're flying Paris Hilton around on a shiny new G650 and making 6 figures easy satying in 5 star hotels. Even at that I'm sure the pilots have their moments.

Because Falcon is, and always has been, a scum bag operation. I would ask a different question, why would you try to encourage someone to work at such a place with so much else better and available?

dj45, do not listen to someone who would encourage you to go to a possibly career ending gig. If you do not know the Ramirez family boy are you in for a surprise. Try getting paid on time or at all! It is a terrible/horrible place to work. DON'T DO IT. Just trust me.

You're better off at IFL than Falcon. Consider Mountain, Empire or all the bloody regionals right now.

Good luck.

I am not going to sell my soul to the Devil.

Better opportunities offering a career path available to all. True T&C are pretty bad for the first couple of years, but longevity at the regionals will provide for upgrade and flow through to the majors.

Joining a company with a checkered past starting from 1998 would not be my first choice employer.

How many remember the contract that Falcon had with Aeropostal using crews from Venezuela at almost half the salary?

Falcon is done, out of business according to this article:

Weird they would surrender the certificate and not try and sell it.

captjns 06-10-2015 06:46 AM

I'm sure that Falcon owners will ensure that employes are paid what they are due. Further I hope the health insurance coverage is still in affect. Employees do not receive noticed of cancellation. Only the employer. Only way employees will find out when a claim has been filed. Planet Airways pulled this nonsense with their employees. The Attorney General of the State of Florida got involved with success too.

You can't sell a certificate, you can only sell the company that owns the certificate, together with all it's assets. In the case of Falcon, probably the liabilities outweigh the assets.

hoover 06-11-2015 10:48 AM

True. I didn't think of the liabilities. Good point
