Ryan International Shutdown

Several twitter accounts and aviation websites are saying Ryan International has ceased operations? Anyone else hear this?

Apparently so. Ch 7 to be filed unless someone buys the company. Reference the post below from this thread.

Ryan International Shutdown?

I hate to hear this news... Link didn't work BTW...

That's too bad, met some really good people from Ryan riding their airplanes back and forth across the pond. They always took really good care of us, and more importantly my troopers.

Grumble, Thanks so much....we always felt it an honor and privilege to carry every one of you. Especially coming back this direction as we got to see the welcome and receptions you received as we taxied in. Something none of us will ever forget even after more than 13 years there.

To the Ryan guys....

IF you think you might be interested, and IF you think you could consider relocating to the islands, and IF you're willing and able to sit right seat, I'd recommend applying to Hawaiian Airlines when the window opens, expected late this spring. Do all you can to read up on the company, and be prepared for an arduous selection process. Your 76 and A330 time would be a good thing, but does not guarantee anything. In the end, the job here is about as good as it gets.

Best of luck to all of you!

More jobs available for both captains and FOs with both Boeing and Airbus experience overseas with decent pay and benefits. Upgrades possible too with the exception of KoreN Airlinspes. Check the websites such as PARC, Direct Personnel, and Sigmar to name a few.

Good luck!

Ryan pilots might want to look at Atlas Air also, good luck.
