Default SkyKing Bankrupcy Hearing?

Has anyone heard how the Bankrupcy hearing went? I thought it was supposed to happen on January 8. Also any truth to the rumor that they are being bought by Falcon?

Whatever puts the most $$$ in FV and RC's pockets is what Sky King will do with no regard for ethics.

Sky King secures DIP financing, fined for public charter violations - ch-aviation.ch

Sky King secures DIP financing, fined for public charter violations

09FEB2013

Sky King (5K, Lakeland Linder Regional (LAL)) has announced that it has secured Debtor in Possession from a group of investors headed by aviation entrepreneur Daniel Carson allowing it to continue restructuring its operations under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Sky King currently operates four B737-400s on charter services and had filed for bankruptcy protection back on September 28, 2012 blaming the earlier bankruptcy of its customer Direct Air (D1, Myrtle Beach International (MYR)) as one of the reasons for its financial difficulties. The US Department of Transportation has now also fined Sky King $500,000 USD for the violation of public charter regulations related to the bankruptcy of Direct Air where several operators that have already been fined like Sky King had continued to operate charter flights for Direct Air despite non-payment and then left passengers stranded following Direct Air's bankruptcy.

There is some speculation that Sky King will be purchased by People Express.

Why are they even trying? Do those involved with reviving PeopleExpress enjoy burning money? The industry is in a period of consolidation and capacity reduction. If PeopleExpress ever gets airborne, it will quickly go down in flames. What huge waste of money.

Default Crooks are bad people...

Sadly, I fear success is not their true objective. In the "bottom-feeder" world, this remains a shell game where a select few at the the helm, get the cash/benefits and the rest lose. Although undistinguished, the list of people from Pace airlines, Dirrect Air, Sky King etc that should be in jail remains long. When this project comes to an obvious conclusion, those involved or those of similarity, simply move on to the next "grand opening". Want a good laugh...google North State Aviation out of Winston-Salem N.C.

HA HA HA this just keeps getting better. What another good laugh? Google the new owners name, Dan Carson and you get some very interestering resluts.

1.) I ended up finding an old resume of his and wait for it......he was at Planet Airways and Pan Am. Man only if there were any old SK people that were at those places? Wait there were....CS and LS. I remember CS very much wanting to "get back" at those who he though "wronged him". Wouldnt be suprised to find out that CS and GL are the other "silent" partners and this would mean goodbye for FV, RC, PF, and JB and then the old SK guard would be back in play which would mean basically the same thing. More of management making boat loads of $ while the pilot groups is told things will "get better" and the "767 is gonna happnen" all while not paying their bills with the old "legal" shell game so they can just plan to set up shop at the next city.

2.) Google Dan Carson and Las Vegas and Vision. I do not know is this is the same guy but in aviaion nothing suprises me.

Herman got it right its a new "grand opening" every 10 years or so with the same people in different roles.

Is it too late to be a Doctor?
