Swift Air Hiring?

Saw Swift Air is looking for 737 pilots on climbto350. Anybody with insight on why they are hiring and how things are going there? Is Swift out of bk?

I was curious what company that was when I saw the ad. Which version 737 do they fly...400?

737/400 (2 planes)

Thanks...I later found that on their website. Is it all on demand charter? I see they listed 4 cities they were hiring for. Just curious how that worked with only 2 planes.

I think they had some Direct Air work and they also flew around McCain in 2008. They seem to have a few sports teams or something right now. One 737-400 and 767-200s have been making a lot of flights into and out of KBED and one of the 737-400s looks to be based in KMKE. So I would assume the pilot's bases are where the airplane is based. So maybe MKE/BED (737-400) and DAL (767-200/SWQ767). I would assume wherever they base the other 767-200 (N250MY) is where the fourth city is.

I'm not positive, so don't quote me but I think the flights where they fly under SWQ801/802/250 are empty legs. This doesn't apply to SWQ767, however, since that airplane is flown by former ATA guys and is somehow fenced off.

The 767-200 (N250MY) will most likely be leaving the property by this Fall

Your base will change when team(s) change to different Airline Operator and Swift Air does not have jumpseats agreements with anyone

I assume you are talking about 250MW?

Yes.... it is based in DAL and flown as SWQ767 for the Mavericks, amongst other things. I guess it really "isn't" Swift Air's airplane; just in OpSpecs and flown under a SWQ callsign. Flown by old ATA guys IIRC.
