Default thoughts about falcon air

I was wondering if there is anyone on here who works for flacon air and can share their experience, pay, QOL and honest opinion about them. I read the old thread about them and it's all old content that was very negative. I'm not sure if it's because of what happened with them and spirit but I was also wondering if going there now could hurt my chances of going to spirit or any other carrier in the future

Thank

Youd be a fool to go, still the crooked foreign mindset....there are no rules for labor, steer clear.

When a company is hiring street captains...not usually a good sign for a career destination.

I don't plan on making it a career airline but there are a few things that make me think twice about them. I just wanted to see what other people think about them and if anyone is currently flying or has flown for them if you can tell me a little about your experience with them

A co-worker of mine just went through training with them. He finished initial and left before his PC. Everyone in his new hire class is envious of him for leaving... they're there now, stuck in a contract.

He said it was a horrible company. I tried to warn him before he went there, just like how you are getting warned now. I have never heard anyone say anything good about Falcon.... is that the kind of place you want to work?

It all depends what you sign up for! if you are base out of IWA or AEX(Jr. Bases) you will have a set schedule and 90% weekends off but its all ICE flying and lots of early show times like 1am and 2am. If you are based in MIA it's all charter flying or sub-service for other airlines. Currently out of MIA we are doing Cuba charters and Sub-service for Allegiant out of their bases in Central Florida. An only home about 5-10 days a month and not in a row either. As far as the FO pay is 67hrs guaranteed at $51/hr, Capt is $72/hr. There is plenty of flying so if you want to brake guarantee is possible. Management is changing as we are getting a lot of the Spirit management team(we don't know if it will be better or worst yet). As far as hurting your chances with spirit I can't answer that as we haven't had any of our guys go to Spirit but they have gone to other Majors like (JetBlue, Emirates, Frontier, Allegiant, etc...). Training is pretty straight foward 2 weeks of indoc, 2 weeks of systems, 4 SITs and 6 Sim sessions plus your pre-ride and then type ride & loft(training pay is $50/day per diem and it takes a while to get the check but I got mines). If you study and cooperate(means no sleeping in class..lol) they will help you out if you struggle in the sim. Attitude goes a long way. There is definite room for improvement but its a small airline and expanding so you have to accommodate sometimes too. Hope my unbiased opinion helped.
