The next antagonistic post here gets a free two-week ban; no warnings.

This forum was intended to be a fraternal site where established airline pilots could give solid advice to those trying to enter the industry, or how to best manage their careers once hired.

It's a place to chew the fat over all the things discuss in the cockpit, sans:

1. Politics.
2. Profanity.
3. Racism.
4. Sexism.
5. Porn/nudity.
6. Personal Attacks.

Keep in mind: hiring departments of major carriers are rumored/believed to skim this site. It doesn't take a Sherlock Holmes in computer science to decipher bits and pieces of info people post here, nor use electronic forensics to determine your ip address.

Is Elite still as bad as you guys say it is?

I already have that magical 1000 TPIC

How fast is the upgrade (if any)?
Is everyone based in PWM, or outstation?
Is there any incentive or bonus for prior 121/TPIC in a CRJ2?
Is it more like Allegiant with day trips, or do you get overnights?
Do you have CASS/jumpseat rules?
How many days off a month?
Would I have to wear a hat? (haha)

We are home based although many live in Florida and do the VRB,MLB,APF and starting in November SRQ. Branson and RFD routes cease end of October. We are in cass and adding jumpseat agreements, frontier being latest. Charter season coming up and will be busy thru April .
All pilots start as FO and upgrade as needed on a merit basis. I.e. If you have the time but are weak, you won't upgrade. We have bypassed guys. Just finished a class of 4capt/3fo when I say 4 Capt they are trained and hired as captains, but we tell them it may be 6-12 months before we move them over. Not trying to over promise. It just may be that long. However, we have 11 aircraft and 52 pilots with more airplanes on way. You do the math.

Do trips ever start and end in PWM, or always out of MLB?

It's hard to find much info about "mainer"
