NAA Purchased by OAI?

Reading the NAA bankruptcy page, looks like OAI is purchasing the government contract and certificate. Any insight?

Please thoroughly read all threads before deciding to ask questions on this forum. Otherwise you will be flamed and humiliated.
For those of us who don't have the time to research the question...
Did OAI buy NAA?
A link to the answer is sufficient if you don't have time to insult me.
Thanks

Im sorry for you misfortune, GAL destroyed three great airlines in less than 6 years. The answer is not really yes. They (OAI) have made an offer to buy the contract/operation that was operated by NAA out of IAD (not done yet). It did not include any employes. FA/Op Rep/Mx/Pilots were interviewed and some were offer jobs. FA/Op Rep/Mx will more than likely be doing the same stuff as they were doing with NAA (no unions). Pilots that are hired will be doing regular un-scheduled airline stuff not the IAD operation. The OAI pilot group had enough volunteers to do the operation. Any pilots from NAA will be added to the seniority list just like any other pilots hired (has a union). So OAI did not buy NAA just one operation.

The fact is what have airline unions done for us? They can't save our jobs, they can't get us new jobs when we lose ours, we can't take our seniority to another company, and commuter pilots are making less now then when I was in their position 15 years ago! So, they obviously can't get us more money! Airlines have been running the same playbook for 20 years. When are pilots going to WAKE UP!

NAA pilots might as well had "no union" as far as know NAA had a contract with successorship clauses, scope, etc. a lot of good it did them! Don't expect unions to come to your aid. When a pilot is furloughed, other unionized airlines should not be able to hire anyone off the street until all the furloughed union members are give employment. No Interview.

Refer to the Taft-Hartley Law of 1947. Unions cannot be closed shops. The game is always rigged against Johnny Six Pack - more so in the Transportation Industry. Don't like it? Fight now, so maybe your children or grandchildren can live in a more equitable society. This is the ****** sandwich our generation was given.

Well, I know you're not one of the employees under discussion because you don't know squat about what happened to them.
