Default float planes in alaska

Can anyone verify if there is a min number of hours as well as hours in alaska in my log in order to fly in alaska?

I'd suggest that the bare minimum experience required by the FARs won't get you a job in Alaska.

at least 500 in seaplanes is the going minima. some contracts require 500 in type. all depends on the company and how desperate they are for pilots!

Normally you need at least 500 Alaska time. Seaplanes are different than wheels depending on what the job is. You have lodges, charters, scenic type, and other types of flying.

None of the flying is for beginners so you will be evaluated to determine if you fit in and can learn to survive. You can PM. I've flown many planes and places in AK.
AK is looking more for pilots now than previous years. Might be a good time to be there.
