What are the requirements for getting hired out of curiosity?
What about the pay and QOL? Bases? Benefits? I don't see a profile for it...I'm just curious. |

As I have been corrected you only get per diem during training. Until you start OE.
2500TT is the bare min for FOs. Not sure how much multi they're looking for but I think you need to have some sort of turbine experience. Yes you get per diem away from base. Typed too fast earlier to edit what I wrote after. I think they're trying to change their interview process to actually having face to face interviews and maybe sim evals. |
Very good mexi. That would weed out maybe some individuals that they are having troubles with. I, being rated in the old girl, would love to join Swift but gateway or home basing would be needed simply because of the ability to get to/fr work. Time to command will be important as well as benefits including jumpseat and ZED travel. All probably coming I would guess?
I could get quite a few to apply. Standing bye. |

Yep hoping the gateway basing becomes a reality, I think they believe they're saving money having these remote bases and in reality it's not the case. The zed will probably not happen as we don't have reciprocal ticketing like a normal airline. they did the pay raises at the beginning of the year, so it was a step in the right direction. However it's still not competitive with the industry to attract guys from going to LCC like f9 or NK. They have big plans, but they definitely need the manpower to make it happen, but it will be an uphill battle to make it attractive. |
If they can't even come up to current F9 or NK levels they are going to have a real hard time as F9 &NK are having trouble attracting pilots. The supplementals are in a real hard place right now. With everyone getting or fighting for new contracts, wicked quick upgrades at Delta. Mass hiring by everyone.
It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next 5 hrs. They're might be a couple that goes out of business cause the can't get pilots, mechanics and FAs. I don't wish it on anyone though. |
The next 5 hrs Hoover? Do you have some inside scoop? I don't know about the rest, but Swift is definitely very busy. Rumor has it they have authorization to go to 20 airframes. That level of staffing is going to be difficult without a significant modification to $$ and QOL. I'm not sure any narrow body supplemental can afford F9 or NK pay scales, but it needs to get closer to that level to attract competent crews.
