“Atlas”is clearly and unequivocally to blame. Anyone who doesn’t understand this doesn’t understand what that status of the Atlas negotiations is, who is present at the Omni negotiations, and who has the final say as to IF Omni pilots get to vote ON THEIR OWN agreement.
Enjoy the “Atlas” ride. We are being ripped off everyday.

RedWhiteAndBlue, keep blaming Atlas and see where that gets you or you can blame the Teamsters and see where that gets you. It is rather evident that you guys do not support your elected officials representing you. You trust management more than you trust your own union, that will cost you dearly. Everyone on the outside looking in clearly sees where this train wreck is headed and it is not going to end well for you guys. The conclusion to this train wreck is truly sad given how much effort your elected leadership and NC have put into fighting on your behalf. I honestly am not sure how they can continue to represent such an ungrateful group.
Enjoy the "uneducated labor" ride. You will get the pilot contract you have earned.

JonnyK you are simply wrong in your characterization of me. I am fully grateful and and supportive of the massive gains realized by the NC. But that does NOT change the reality of “Atlas” being present and having the final say. THAT IS WRONG. It may be LEGAL but it doesn’t make it RIGHT. A clear conflict of interest exists on that level. You have undoubtedly read earlier posts discussing “pattern bargaining” and “industry standard”. Industry standard should NOT be applied across the entire spectrum of contractual elements. This is foolish and painting with too wide of a brush. We are clearly being held to a 16 day standard that “Atlas” wants. If Omni pilots feel that 16 days plus premium pay for day 17 and 18 is acceptable for US then so be it. THAT is what is on the table and considering the non-sched nature of Omni operations compared to Atlas and Kalitta it strikes me as VERY reasonable compromise that is satisfactory to literally everyone thst I have listened to. Couple that with the non-answers on the teleconference regarding “industry standard” (read: “Atlas’s” demands) and the ridiculous “ok to the 16/17/18 as long as negotiations begin AGAIN in 18 months” and a very clear picture emerges as to the current status or non-status if you will of OUR negotiations NOT “Atlas’s”.
“Atlas” needs to LEAVE Omni negotiations to the Omni NC and its relationship to this pilot group.

And this bears repeating:
One side is lying to us. I hope everyone understands this. We are being lied to. Either the company’s contractual document presented to the NC is in fact a sham full of holes or its not.
The company says its not.
The teamsters says it is.
One side is lying. We will learn who sooner or later. Repercussions will follow no matter which it is. One side WILL lose ANY and ALL good will and/or trust. It WILL be gone.

Since a lot of sentiment here seems to be "get away from Atlas" (lets face it a lot of us just want to see what's on the table, not cause it to take effect immediately). To which a common thread is that we're too small. I did look at the Teamsters website recently and noticed that there is at least one Teamsters local (959) which appears to only represent one airline (NAC). Which is orders of magnitude smaller than Omni.

Johnny K not everyone wants the management drafted proposal just the ones you see on here. No one nominated an Omni candidate to run against DW so naturally it’s easier to blame Atlas. Unfortunately, for your everyday member it is easier to blame the party that controls most of the chips.

The E-Board (who is made up of the Exco Chairman at each of the 1224 airlines) has to vote if an Omni TA goes out for a vote to the Omni pilots. That is no different than it is for any other 1224 airline including Atlas.

It's a classic management negotiation tool to present their version of parts of a contract to the entire pilot group as an around-end run to bypass the negotiating team. Happened at Kalitta, too.
