What is the attrition to other airlines looking like? Just wondering what the outflow is with people leaving and where they are going. Also is anyone getting hired at United through normal channels outside of the CCP? It would make sense that after you pass the Hogan for the CCP program that United would say "hey we should check out this guys app on our own" or are you SOL because they aren't going to poach a pilot from one of their own? I heard that the CCP United interview is just HR, none of the tech and profile stuff that you get at the normal interview. Any truth to that? I am also wondering what the failure rate is for people taking the Hogan if anyone has that info. It would stand to reason that not every new hire will be in front of you in the CCP.

Also does anyone know how the commute from ORF-IAD or ORF-EWR is? Looks like several CA flights a day out of ORF. Any overnights in ORF?

Re: attrition; lots of movement, guys are leaving for the legacy carriers, LCCs, mainly guys with TPIC time. We are a small pilot group however so lots of movement is relative.

Re; United outside of CPP hiring: no one that I can think of, but United has not finished interviewing those currently on property for the CPP, last interviews are this month if I am correct. So TBD here. They have said publicly that involvement in the CPP will not limit off the street hiring, but again TBD.

Re CPP; interview is HR only at this time.

Re: ORF commute; on our metal which is good but we are weight restricted from time to time. DHC-8-200 more then the DHC-8-300, worse in the winter vs. the summer. We do have a solid commuter clause in our contract.

If you are interested reach out to the pilot hiring team, they are not at rainbows and flowers and will tell you the truth.

ERJ-145 and DHC-8 upgrade are both JAN2016 or later as of the June2016 classes. And a $15k bonus if you have the 1,000 hours prior 121 time.

Thanks for the info. I have spoken with their hiring folks, I just wanted to get a "in the trenches" perspective. CA seems like a decent place to go as far as regionals go. The quick upgrade is a plus as well as the bonus. Also now seems like a great time to get in there. I don't have SJS so my guess is the Dash may have a better QOL thinking that senior dash drivers from both seats will want to bid the jet. Leaving a junior guy in the props relatively senior so to speak. Would this be a good assumption or are dash folks staying put?

Trying to weigh all the options before pulling the trigger. I have plenty of TPIC, looking to check the 121 block now.

I was kind of curious as to the thoughts of those folks that are senior on the dash as well. I'm sure there is a certain amount of "nice and comfy" amongst the senior ranks. With 40 new planes coming it probably won't matter with regards to senior on current equipment or new to the company.

I'm definitely anxious to get started!

Some dash guys are staying put but a lot are waiting to see how schedules on the ERJ are, and for all the kinks in that program to get worked out first. A few of the other dash guys that are staying put are waiting to go to United, and dont want to go through another training cycle before starting at mainline. Moral of the story, there will likely be great movement on the dash for the next year or two
