Phx
I live in smf......anybody believe Compass will start doing Phx-Smf nonstops. Right now I have to go through lax or slc to get down there. I was hoping that with the Phx maybe they would start doing nonstops....thanks!!

Highly unlikely PHX is an outstation base so all the flying will go through a Delta Hub such as SLC, SEA, or LAX. Delta does very few point to point routes.

All the commuters normally do SMF-LAX.
Very little commuters on SMF-PHX. Southwest guys all live in base, and AA guys are the old Am. West. They all live in base damn near with an exception to a few.
AA does a 737 1 time and a 321 2 times a day with 2 jumpseats. It's not a hard commute. Just about a 25 min longer flight.

It may be easy, but less frequency of flights.
SMF-LAX - 16-18 (Depending on the day)
SMF-SEA - 11-12 (depending on the day)
LAX has served me well because it has the most flights and compass does half of those departures on 2 different carriers. Southwest is always a back up especially with having to truck it to the eagles nest if you have a AA trip.

No. We won't be doing that route. PHX is a base for our DL flying. Mesa in the past did a few SMF-PHX legs on a -900 for AA (or on the 9 as an OO guy told me), but that's a rarity they did in the slow season.

I'm commuting SMF to LAX and it's super easy. United, Delta, American, and Southwest all have a direct flight down there. The HUGE negative is that SMF will not give me an employee parking pass. Because our company ID's don't show the wording "Delta Connection" on them, they say we "don't fly for Delta Connection." The lady has a stick up her ..., she knows that we fly out of SMF, I have sent her an abundance of proof that we are "Delta Connection" and have explained that there is no "Delta Connection" company that has pilots on the payroll. The chief pilots said they can't do anything. Right now I'm working on getting the actual policy about the ID's changed. At SMF there is no other place to get a monthly parking pass. If anyone has any suggestions I am open to it! But that is a huge negative to commuting out of SMF...
