True. At current utilization rate we'd all all have another 4500 hours 121 time by then. It's actually a more fun place to work than I imagined it would be, but probably not fun enough to stick around any longer than until after the first 1500 121 TPIC or so. The opportunities ($$$) out there are going to be growing for the next four or five years. But there are far worse places to pay your dues than Compass.

Don’t worry Envoy is taking or planes tomorrow or the next day (I can never remember which it is) so we don’t have to worry about it regardless.

They will probably move them to Arizona. Make LAX mostly all mainline and make Phoenix a regional hub

Dude when did you start?

I just got my third full month of reserve! Haven’t even got my 100hrs yet. I was looking forward to being busy when we completed training. I only flew 6 days last month.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m trying not to complain. Sitting at home playing with the kids while getting paid to be on reserve ain’t all that bad!

Finished IOE in May. Guess my timing was perfect, got a reserve line for June and still flew a couple of trips. Got a line for July. I’m based in SEA, if that has anything to do with it.

I'm pretty sure Stopover stores give flight crews either 5% or 10% off luggage.

Similar to my experience. Started and finished IOE in June. Given a few trips to finish the month, had one day on reserve. Missed bidding by two days so given a build up line for July, zero days reserve. Able to bid for August, have a build up line and need to add some to get my 75. Probably get a few days reserve next month, but consider myself lucky.

Based and pay

Just a couple questions all.

What is the most junior base as of now and what is average real life first year pay like before bonus and snacks. I know the pay question is personal so even a range would be cool. Just trying to determine budget before I start. Thanks all

Last award was all LAX and SEA for new hires. Pay is whatever first year is (I don't even remember with all these changes) times our floor right now of 85 hours. With more seniority it's easier to gain 90-95 without giving away too many days off if you pick up premium or critical pay. 100+ hours is doable especially if you live in base but you'll give a good amount of days off. Per diem usually came out to like $400-500 if I remember. The big killer is LA/CA taxes which take most my paycheck.
