Regarding the recent loss of the Swedish Fish, we have been in negotiations with the company, but as of now they have stalled. The company wants CAs to fly right seat and occasionally do in flight service to off load FA-A. Our position remains strong that this is unacceptable to the Union. However, if I get a CJO somewhere, I might be inclined to accept these terms without a union vote in exchange for some Swedish Fish to take with me. BUT dont be alarmed, I will make sure we have a working Snack Basket grid first so we can track any future movements of snacks in real time.

No, it was a pure judgment call, a decision had to be made. I know its 2018 but I refuse to constantly say he/she. We all get it. There are 2 genders and in the case of a neutral referent to gender, which is usually clear enough from context, or in the case where gender is irrelevant to the point, I say who cares. Its English, not Greek, where there are neutral pronouns. In English, we have no 2nd person plural so the south gave us 'Y'all' which my wife cringes at when I say, but we lived in the south for a year once so I feel like I've earned it. Even worst case scenario - which I doubt will happen - at 80 hours a month even someone completing IOE today will have the skill and 121 experience to become a DEC anywhere else 18 months out. But I'll grant you, the forest fire smoke and runway closure at SEA has done a number on the Delta performance, but since Delta has a domicile there too I imagine they are backing out the late flights that were simply beyond our control.
