There's sometimes though they'll throw you in front of everyone and take E8 to make a flow time.

That's when you note your flow time and pull a MW at flow time - 8 minutes (1 minute engine start, 2 minute warm up, 5 minutes in case they release you early depending on your flow program). Then you're golden!

Is it like required to be warmed up prior to the takeoff clearance?....or.....can it be like before rotation...?:D

Could it be.... no raised floors?

First post here. Ive been lurking and learning a lot about the life of a regional FO and what different companies have to offer.



First post in this thread has some great info. However I don't have time to read 73 pages so forgive me if this has been covered...


Most companies are struggling getting 175 sim time. If I were to pursue Compass how soon will I get a class date? Finish Training and start reserve?

Welcome to the group. Class dates are not available until 2019, but on the website there are interviews and other events listed. Reach out to HR or attend an event, the sooner you get in line the sooner your class date will come. It seems the sims are backed up from what guys in class have posted, but it doesn’t seem to be anything like the 8+ week delays that some other 175 operations are experiencing.

A lot of guys are struggling for the sim time, my buddy just interviewed and they told him class wouldn’t be until January. I’m at the near end of training, sims are about 3 weeks gap. Not to bad then a few others out there. Plus gives me some time to relax and travel around. After that you pump through sims and loe then your out flying.

On another note....decently new to this thread, looking forward to flying out on the line with you guys! Everyone so far from compass has been awesome to me.

BLS, just FYI.. pax on a flight found a human tooth in the granola bar!!! be careful doing your audits!!! I think it was SLC catering... but the tooth was blessed and approved by the LDS Church!!!

Not too bad on sims for me, started mid July and the most I've had it's a week or so off so far and I've heard the gaps have been decreasing. Almost through sims at this point, lofts and loe at the end of the month (for now)

Maybe I got lucky, from start to finish took 2.5 months, including 2 weeks at home for CBTs.
