IF, and a very big if, we get those UA planes, I think it is a sure sign the Delta planes are gone next year. But like others have said, at least you have a job. Even if they are paying me 75 hours a month to sit on my ass flying 5-10 hours a month. Horizon is already doing that and they aren’t losing anything. But only time will tell. Sky isn’t falling yet.

And who owns ManaAir? And ExpressJet owns 1 sim, while utilizing FSI for now. Rumor is a 2nd sim will be on property as soon as United moves out of the building in the training parking lot.

I believe ManAir signs your checks? No?
And no flight safety OWNS both sims.

companies have agreements with their subsidiaries that are not wholly owned...see United and the pilot career path program.

HAL doesnt own the plane Empire does.

Just like Compass the staffing problems is Empire’s problem mostly before it becomes Hawaiian’s.
Because lot of FOs from the islands got picked up at one point in 2017 doesn’t mean a flow fantasy is gonna happen.

So, who is going to lose 700's?

Ultimately everyone. This covers all the 700s flying for UA.

If we could put the compass/HAL thing to bed for eternity:

Union guy at CPZ befriended HAL guy. Got talking and came up with a flow agreement. Worked on it back and forth for quite a while. Finally proposed it to the CPZ management, surprisingly they loved it. Several meetings were had and the plan was it was a genuine flow but HAL had influence in the CPZ interview process. I forget the details, but it would have helped people on property and new guys joining. I once saw all the meeting notes and legal docs and watermarked HA paperwork and everything, it was legit.

Fast forward they’re about to ink it and HAL management loses interest, and the guy who founded the whole thing moved on to a legacy. He tried his best.

Yes it was legit. Talked to some higher ups that shall remain nameless in building C. The idea was this: Mokulele flows pilots to Compass and Compass flows pilots to HAL. CPZ and HAL agreed but Mokulele said they would only agree if CPZ bought them a couple brand new 208s. CPZ understandably said no and the rest is history.

Fake news.
Thats why nobody here at Hawaiian knows about that fantasy flow, funny
how people made up just because a lot of FOs got picked up at a point of time also most of them were also from the islands.
Anybody can use word and make it look like something official for that matter of creating rumors.
For my fellow former compass brothers and sisters I do wish this good news come in sooner than later. I really did enjoy working with all of you there and you guys deserve nothing else than a big good news.
