You'll be fine getting to NWA without Compass, you made the smart decision. I think every other captain on my last couple of trips was heading off to NWA. Crank out another 500 hours of PIC and jump....then let us know how the DAL Indoc goes ;)

I would stay right where you are. With the exception of CAL, 121 or any turbine PIC is what you need to move on.

I would be VERY concerned about taking a position with Compass with a NWA/DAL merger looming. If a merger triggers furloughs, NWA guys will flow back into Compass leaving you on the street. I wouldn't be surprised if , after a merger, DAL guys could flow back there as well. It never hurts to go to an interview, but make sure you do your homework before you make a move.
