It's not like it's a difficult word to spell. I don't get how the majority of people around here cannot spell! Good thing you went to college.

Perhaps he's British.

SuperPilotJesse 05-25-2008 03:56 PM

Well the majority of Americans here can't spell most of what they type..

If he is British, we spell advice with a c here, color with no u, and organize with a z. There's a couple more. When I'm in England I'll make sure to use those extra letters... until then it's advice.

Just wanted to let you know... there are still no spelling tests in training or at the interview.

SuperPilotJesse 05-25-2008 05:06 PM

There should be. There needs to be.

If you want to be The Proper Spelling and Grammar Police, make sure you're balls-on accurate in your own typing. There's is a contraction for there is, which does not fit as you've used it.

What's wrong with "there is a couple more"?

It's not that I am always right. I am far from perfect, but most of the posters around here continue to make some really easy mistakes.

Back on the thread. If you are looking for a love fest with NWA pilots...forget about it. We are parking DC-9s and A-320s and you are flying our routes. There is no love for the Compost pilot from NWA piltos. If you need a job...OK...just understand that you will be viewed as a scab by most of the NWA pilots.............

Wow. First those are pretty harsh words. I have not had any problems with anyone at NWA, jumpseating, or in general. I do not believe that most of the NWA pilots view Compass as scabs. There are a few that are not happy, but not "most" at all- at least from my experience.

Ever notice how pilots nickname everything? Compass = Compost /United = Untied /Northwest = Northworst /Gojet = Hojet and other things not to be mentioned on a family forum.
