RNC coming up in MSP so hotel rooms are hard to find. That's why they are doing the interviews in VA for now.

Thanks, cfitstew for the info. Does anyone knows if they only hire pilots with previous 121 or 135 experience?

I don't think that is a stated requirement, but it seems to be who they are hiring right now. In my class of 7 we are all furloughed part 121.

When I saw I was the only 135 guy (with no jet time) in my interview group full of 121 dudes, I thought I was done. So it was a pleasant suprise when I was told I was in! Good luck.

My experience is only as a cfi. Submitted my app. I guess I heve nothing to lose.

They will now no longer take anyone who does not have glass cockpit jet part 121 time.

I would think this is very likely. As the above posters stated they have hired quite a few from T-props including myself and even one high time flight instructor that had been instructing in turbines but I think with the market the way it is this has stopped.
However if I needed a job I would still apply...never hurts, just don't bank on getting the call. Good luck to all.

Pretty much the same as you've probably read. Make sure you get in to IAD by 11:00pm because the hotel van stops running then. Hotel has a decent breakfast and will take you over to HQ. Jami in HR called me the day before to let me know to take the 8am van (it only runs on the hour) so we weren't leaving the hotel at 7am and sitting there for 45 minutes before anyone got to the offices at 8am. Given taxi vouchers to go to the drug test/airport. Nothing unexpected, still do the written test as well.

I'd still apply, you never know. You might still get the job.
