A lot of phx people held out to see how things look before throwing their bid in. Don’t get your hopes up. Anything can happen

So an average of like 7 planes per base, something that is industry standard, something they should do but won't, and we get a slightly better (but still low) min day? There really is no hope here is there?

Seriously though, the word on the street is the Union is willing to drop the IOCC grievance if the company agrees to define "operational necessity" in the contract and drops the signing bonus in exchange for higher FO pay rates. I heard the hang up is the company feels we need to have some sort of "bonus" to get folks through the door.

I mean turning $17,500 gross would be about $60/hr if split up over 12 months at 75 hours so that alone would attract a lot of people but I'm sure the company likes bonuses better because they can cancel them at anytime rather than keep them going and tie them into bidding for new flying contracts.

Default Double occupancy hotels in training

I know that they say it will be double occupancy during training, but are they actually doing this or are people getting single rooms.

I’m told sometimes single occupancy happens, but be prepared for double.

Why would you agree to drop the grievance? I get that it's about negotiating, but in this market pilots have the reins. Defining operational necessity should happen without dropping the IOCC grievance.

You don't need a bonus if the rates increase. I'd rather make a higher hourly rate than get a large bonus... the bonus won't apply to time above guarantee, where an hourly rate does, therefore you can make much more. I'm sure they aren't stupid and that's why they prefer the bonuses, as well as the ability to cancel them at the drop of a hat.

Wait. Where'd you get this info? And when would these changes come into effect? Would love to see somepay rate increases.

And yes, bonuses attract people, but pay rates attract more people. When republic was the first to offer 40/hr, people were flocking to them. Endeavor has completely full classes with their new agreement. $55+/hr first year pay would attract plenty of people with or without a bonus

I don’t see a pay rate raise coming with out an entire pay rate including CAs rate increasing. This will all have to be negotiated tho
