I’m guessing 747-4 time doesn’t count as BBJ. 😁. Otherwise I’d be in.

747 time is fine. If you can handle a 747 you can handle something smaller.

There is so much wrong in this statement.

Greetings,
Forum policy requires a 10 post minimum to have PM capability. I would like to send a resume your way. Any thoughts on a “work around?”

No one has a gun to your head, there are several here who I have spoken to who are not only familiar with my family but have flown for or do fly for one of our portfolio companies.

For quite obvious reasons it doesn’t make sense for me to openly reveal who we are given the open nature of these forums and the consequences within the security environment of today.

Fredturbo 03-09-2020 05:08 AM

Looks like quite a few people getting trolled by this “RichNYExec”. Lol..........
Love seeing these as I was looking for a good laugh.

no, why don’t you educate us all about your “If they can handle a 747, they can handle something smaller” statement. We’re all ears......

If this is such a high profile/ultimate security type hiring situation, using an internet forum and cryptic language is really really bad form.

Like I said, when it sounds to good to be true.................

Also, another consideration: Someone comes into a forum and advertises a "too good to be true job". Then they post "send me a PM". At some point the advertiser ask for a resume. That resume contains a treasure trove of personal information. Scammers are using very similar techniques in other forums as a way to mine information from unsuspecting people.

With a resume it's very easy to connect the dots and end up with a name, address, birthdate, email, phone number and employment history, then with a little sleuthing a SSN. This is how scammers apply for loans and credit cards in other's names.

Folks, never, ever send your resume to someone or an organization you don't know, especially someone baiting an anonymous internet thread.

Now I'm nervous.

For the record, I spoke to the person on the phone who posted the job. I'm wondering who else had the pleasure.

just curious.

Cheers

Did you give a resume or any PII?

Did you google the number?

PDpilot2011 03-09-2020 11:02 AM

Yes, I did send him my resume. He had a funky email address that I had to google, only to find out its mostly related to Switzerland.

I spoke with them.

Just went over my resume. Normal questions about the jobs.
Didn’t seem fishy, they knew pilot stuff. No questions for any personal info.

PDpilot2011 03-09-2020 11:06 AM

"They?" I only spoke to one person and he was quite knowledgeable about aviation and my previous HKG company.

And how many businesses use funky email addresses?

Guys, do your due diligence before handing over PII to someone you know nothing about. A good scammer knows how to play his targets.

The email address wasn’t “funky”.
It just wasn’t @google or @xcompany.
It was @protonmail, which is a known secure email provider.
A perfectly legitimate provider, and one I wouldn’t be surprised used for this.

They as in the company.
I spoke with one person.
Dulles area phone number.

TommyDevito 03-09-2020 11:16 AM

Best of luck guys.

PDpilot2011 03-09-2020 11:26 AM

TD,

I agree with you.

As for the email, I wasn't familiar with Proto. But then again, I'm not familiar with a lot of things....LOL

Proton mail is free, anyone can sign up for it. I have a proton mail account. Just FYI

Its all fun and games to be the “big” guy on the GA ramp until you get passed by the 747.

Because you can fly a 747, 777, Spruce Goose means nothing regarding another type of plane.
Each bird has her quirks and peculiarities. Have a discussion with the G500 pilot who crammed in a 4G landing at TEB the other day due to over controlling the bird in windy conditions

Thank you.

Hell, I'm interested too, too fishy though. There are alot of guys here who all seem to be saying the same thing: SCAM ARTIST.

This is the first time I've seen a post for a job like this with salary information in it. Guys, don't be stupid. Don't fall for Mr. Rich guy who's baiting for personal information. Resumes are fine, they likely floating around the web anyway...do not reveal any of your personal info on an email or over the phone to someone you don't know.

n188r 03-14-2020 12:53 PM

Yes!

Got the job. Negotiated up for $400k. And I had lunar landing so I know how to fly the baby jets by default.
